Mengenal angka dalam bahasa Inggris. Ada banyak macam-macam penomoran dalam bahasa Inggris, seperti angka/bilangan biasa, angka Ordinal, dll. Berikut pembahasan mengenai macam-macam angka dalam bahasa Inggris beserta penggunaan dan contoh kalimatnya. 

A. Numbering (Angka) 

     Numbers 1 to 10 in English : 

      1 : One 

      2 : Two 

      3 : Three 

      4 : Four 

      5 : Five 

      6 : Six 

      7 : Seven 

      8 : Eight 

      9 : Nine 

    10 : Ten 

B. Cardinal Numbers (Bilangan Biasa) 

     Bilangan biasa (cardinal numbers) adalah angka yang menyatakan berapa banyak sesuatu (jumlah/quantity).

Contoh kalimat bentuk Cardinal Numbers:
1) We make sixty pants in this  whole year
     (Kami membuat 60 celana sepanjang tahun ini) 

2) I have two cats 

    (Saya punya dua kucing) 

3) She bought five apples at the market

    (Dia membeli lima apel di pasar) 

4) There are thirty students in the classroom 

    (Ada tiga puluh siswa di kelas) 

5) My house has four windows 

    (Rumah saya memiliki empat jendela 

6) We need gen Chairil for the meeting 

    (Kita membutuhkan sepuluh kursi untuk rapat) 

7) He ran three kilometers yesterday 

    (Dia berlari tiga kilometer kemarin) 

8) The shop opens at nine o’clock 

    (Toko buka pukul sembilan)

C. Ordinal Numbers (Bilangan Peringkat/Tingkatan) 

     Ordinal numbers (bilangan peringkat/tingkatan) ialah angka yang menunjukkan urutan, posisi atau peringkat.

    (Dia menyelesaikan lomba di posisi ketiga)

    (Ini adalah keempat kalinya saya mengunjungi Bali) 

5) Our office is on the fifth floor

    (Kantor kami berada di lantai lima) 

6) She lives in the sixth house on this street 

    (Dia tinggal di rumah keenam di jalan ini) 

7) The seventh question was the hardest 

    (Pertanyaan ketujuh adalah yang paling sulit) 

8) August is the eighth month of the year 

    (Agustus adalah bulan kedelapan dalam setahun) 

9) I met him for the ninth time yesterday 

    (Saya bertemu dengannya untuk kesembilan kalinya kemarin) 

10) December is the twelfth month of the year 

    (Desember adalah bulan kedua belas dalam setahun)
